So this looks great, boils water in 9 minutes... but when I picked it up to pour, water leaked out the handle and burned my hand badly. Water also poured out of the on/off switch. Maybe it was a defective return (the box was open when I received it) but SHAME ON TARGET for selling it. This is very unsafe. I've been using the stove since I was five and never burned myself before. An electric kettle should be safer than an open flame. Also, you have to pull hard on the lid to open it and refill it. Another bad safety feature if you want to make multiple pots of tea because it is hot and you could get steam burns. It should have a push button to open the lid. Returning. Disappointed because it looks great and I've been wanting an electric kettle forever. Cuisinart is normally a good brand, but not this time.

Well packaged product looks essentially like new. Based part looked maybe re-polished with some swirl marks. Works well. Boils water pretty quickly and has auto-shutoff feature. Built in strainer feature seems a little odd. I would not need that part, but maybe some would.

I’ve been using this kettle 2-3 times a day for the last month without any issues. The only thing (as with any new kettle) was the plastic taste at first, but that was resolved easily by boiling 2 table spoons of baking soda and leaving it overnight. Cleaned it in the morning with some vinegar and it’s been tasting great ever since. I would recommend this kettle.

Great kettle. This is a replacement for the same one bought a year ago. Unfortunately my daughter broke the glass carafe when getting something out of the cupboard above. I really like the look & performance so wanted the same one again and could not beat the Walmart price point - wish I knew that the first time.
