This is my daughters first Barbie Looks Doll and it will certainly not be her last.

My daughter had been wanting a Barbie with short hair to add to her collection and was thrilled with Looks Doll #22. The doll features short hair, a cute outfit and is shorter in stature to other Barbie’s adding variety to her collection of dolls. This doll has multiple points of articulation making her very easy to pose and place around her Barbie house. My daughter enjoyed that the doll could “curl up” in a chair in a realistic way!

While it’s nice that the doll is petite (shorter with a smaller bust) it would be great if that was indicated on the dolls packaging. Since the doll is smaller regular size Barbie clothing will be too big on her. My daughter is ok with this but other people might not like that.

We were also impressed with the doll’s packaging. The box is sleek with a large window so you can clearly see the doll. The best part of the packing though is how the doll is attached to the package. There’s no annoying plastic piercing the dolls outfit leaving holes in the dolls clothing. There were some attaching the dolls head to the packaging - so the packing is not perfect but it was a vast improvement.

Overall, my daughter found the doll very pretty, with unique hair and found her fun to play with.

Barbie looks doll arrived in a slender box with beautiful pastel colors. My daughter was immediately excited with her “magical Barbie.” She promptly opened the package and began playing with the Barbie. The articulated joints were very interesting to my 3.5 year old and provided the perfect opportunity for engaging and meaningful play. She enjoyed posing the doll in various poses and then recreating those poses herself. In the summer we are on the go constantly with playdates, lunches in the park and other activities. As most children do my daughter loves to bring toys along for the ride. This Barbie is perfect for our busy outings. She has minimal accessories to account for and keep track of- a one piece jumpsuit and secure fitting shoes. So no fear of losing small pieces and tearing the car up looking for them. I had my reservations upon selecting this doll for review, because of her minimal esthetics. Fearing she would be “boring” compared to our numerous other Barbies with predetermined themes. I have been pleasantly surprised with the hours of enjoyment this doll has provided for my daughter. I would definitely recommend this doll for those who want a Barbie doll with minimal accessories and endless opportunities for fun.

I just received this doll and gave it to my daughter right away. She was thrilled. She said right away that she liked the clothes and shoes because they were shiny. She thought it looked a little like a leotard for gymnastics. I like her hair, both the short and the way it’s colored, it seems more realistic. My daughter also liked her makeup and the doll stand. I asked her about the dolls hair and she liked it short and the color too. I asked her if she looked like her other Barbies, she said not exactly but that the doll looked like my old ones- I think because she’s not smiling big and bright. I like the jointed body- my daughter right away noticed she could make her walk more realistically because of the joints. The joints remind me of BJD’s from Japan. I like that there is a more butch or androgynous doll. We both wish her hair was more like the picture on the back of the box, which is a bit more like a faux hawk. Once my daughter saw the other dolls, she wanted them. Even the Ken. She said he “doesn’t look as fashion” but that’s ok. She liked the blonde doll with the blue dress and matching shoes and the dress the girl with the blunt bangs is wearing. Overall, she is super excited to introduce this doll to all her other Barbies.

Was excited to receive the product at first. My kids love Barbie. However after the initial excitement of a new Barbie doll, the feeling wore off pretty quickly. Kids loved the short hair since they all have short hair as well. The dolls pretty plain. The outfit is one piece and one color. The best thing was the stand it came with. The kids are putting other Barbie dolls dressed up on it. Calling it a fashion show. Con is from the packaging. While taking the doll out there were four plastic toes in her head attached to the plastic when I snipped them off and tried pulling on the ends it’s embedded in the head. I clipped it as close to the scalp as possible but you can still feel the plastic.
